Anna Sinkovská NewsThe Prague Interview (2-3 June, 2003) - Part 6Why aren't you proud of your work? I haven't done a lot of work yet, so I don't have a lot to be proud of. I want to be a better model, and do really good work for big companies. I don't want to be one of the many models in Paris who go to castings and do easy jobs. I want to do something that will make people feel some emotion, not only to see me in a picture and have people say, "That's a nice girl." I want to do art, not advertising for money. For me, money isn't so important. I don't want to be just a face in the pictures, so I have to find my style to be original and special. Those are just plans for the future. As I said, I'm just a beginner and it's a really hard business. And there are a lot of beautiful, attractive, and smart girls who want the same thing as me.
So how do you create your own style? Is that really something a model can do for herself? It's more a question of the booker. Bookers decide on a model's style, and which photographers are good to work with her.
You're almost 20 now. How long do you see yourself doing this kind of work? I don't think I'll model for long, maybe five years. But I can't be sure about something to do after modeling, because my life is changing all the time. I don't know what tomorrow will be like. |
